This one-day intensive course examines LGBTQIA+ health needs and how medical professionals can create a welcoming and inclusive clinical environment and experience for LGBTQIA+ patients. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to be listed in the Kinsey Institute's provider directory.

After completing this program, participants will feel confident in creating a welcoming and inclusive clinical environment and experience for LGBTQIA+ patients by

  • Using appropriate terminology for LGBTQIA+ patients
  • Conducting inclusive sexual histories and consensual exams
  • Mitigating the effect of stigma and bias on LGBTQIA+ patient experiences and healthcare
  • Understanding gender-affirming care processes and referrals
