This course will take an interdisciplinary, evidence-based approach to exploring the foundational concepts in the study of human sexuality, as well as recent developments and research in the field. Topics will include:

  • Sex, gender, and sexuality
  • Identity and intersectionality
  • Sexual behavior, consent, and trauma
  • Dating and relationships
  • And more

While there are no academic prerequisites, this course may be of particular interest to professionals and graduate students in psychology, counseling, medicine, law, human resources, and related fields.

Dates: August 2nd - 27th, 2021

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00-8:00pm Eastern

Cost: $2,000 professionals/non-students; $1,500 students. Some $500 need-based grants available.

Course requirements: All course instruction and assignments will be in English. All classes will be synchronous/live and online, so you must have reliable internet access and video conferencing capability to participate. You must attend all class sessions and satisfactorily complete all assignments to receive course certification.

Certification: Upon satisfactory completion of the Human Sexuality Summer Intensive, you will receive official course completion documentation and a printed certificate from the Kinsey Institute. While we are not currently offering academic credit, we are happy to provide you with detailed information and materials you may need to apply for credit with your school or professional organization.
